Covering 3,893 square kilometers in northwestern Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park is the country's largest protected area and one of its most dramatic. The park is named after the mighty Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters into a thunderous cascade — a spectacle of raw natural power.
