ARUSHA / AIRPORT – NGORONGORO CRATER: THE DAY OF EXPLORATION AND WONDERS
Program of the Day: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, a representative from Maven Tanzania Safaris will warmly welcome you. You'll then be picked up with picnic lunch boxes and begin your journey to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. It is home to around 30,000 large animals throughout the year, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, and the endangered black rhino. Birdlife is equally rich, with flamingos, buzzards, and eagles gracing the skies and crater lakes.

The Ndutu region is especially renowned during the calving season (January–March), when thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather to give birth, attracting an incredible concentration of predators.
