ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – KARATU

Your safari adventure begins with a warm welcome and briefing from your professional driver-guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your Arusha hotel, or another agreed meeting point.

Set off on a scenic 2-3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through the picturesque Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival, embark on your game drive across landscapes famed for their towering baobab trees, vast savannahs, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which draws a remarkable variety of wildlife.

Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant herds, but keep your eyes open for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and over 500 species of birds. A picnic lunch in the heart of the park allows you to dine surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness.

After more afternoon game viewing, you will transfer to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

KARATU – NORTHERN SERENGETI

After an early breakfast in Karatu, set out on a scenic journey toward the remote and wildlife-rich Northern Serengeti, passing through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The Northern Serengeti is renowned for its pristine wilderness and, during the season, the spectacular Mara River crossings of the Great Migration. En route to your lodge or camp, enjoy a game drive where you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing across the savannah.

DAY-3

FULL DAY GAME DRIVE AT NORTHERN SERENGETI – EXPLORE THE GREAT MIGRATION CROSSING MARA RIVER

Spend an unforgettable day exploring the Northern Serengeti, one of Tanzania's most spectacular and remote safari regions. Known for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife, this area is especially famous for the Mara River crossings during the Great Migration (typically from July to October).

Your day begins early with a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active. Track predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they hunt across the open plains, and observe elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife.

Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the bush, then continue your afternoon game drive along the riverbanks and rolling hills. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge or camp.

DAY-4

JOURNEY TO NGORONGORO WITH EN-ROUTE GAME DRIVE IN CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, depart from your lodge in the Northern Serengeti and begin your scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy an en-route game drive through the Central Serengeti, a region teeming with wildlife and iconic savannah landscapes.

Known for its year-round predator sightings and dense populations of herbivores, the Central Serengeti offers excellent opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue your drive as the terrain shifts from wide open plains to the lush highlands of Ngorongoro. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim by late afternoon or early evening.

DAY-5

ADVENTURE IN NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA

Start your day with an early breakfast before descending into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard alongside hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and countless bird species.

Enjoy a half-day game drive on the crater floor, exploring its diverse habitats ranging from open grasslands and acacia forests to freshwater lakes and swamps. After your crater adventure, begin the scenic drive back to Arusha or continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight.
