TRANSFER FROM YOUR HOTEL TO MACHAME GATE – MACHAME CAMP

Program of the Day Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Arusha or Moshi to the Machame Gate, a journey of approximately 50 minutes that winds through the charming Machame village on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing registration at the park gate, you will start your trek along a beautiful, ascending trail that cuts through the lush and humid rainforest. The path gradually rises along a forested ridge, offering sightings of unique flora and occasional wildlife. By late afternoon, you will arrive at Machame Camp, your first overnight stop on the mountain.

DAY-2

MACHAME CAMP TO SHIRA 2 CAMP

Program of the Day Today, you leave the lush rainforest glades behind and follow an ascending trail that rises steadily up a steep, rocky ridge. As you gain altitude, the landscape opens into the expansive Shira Plateau, offering sweeping views and a refreshing change in scenery. The trail continues through heather and open moorlands, gradually leading you across a broad river gorge before arriving at Shira 2 Camp, your resting point for the night. This shorter yet rewarding day helps your body acclimatize as you settle into the higher-altitude environment.

DAY-3

SHIRA 2 CAMP TO LAVA TOWER – BARRANCO CAMP

Hike from Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

We proceed east up a ridge, then head southeast towards the Lava Tower, a striking 300-ft volcanic rock formation. From there, we descend to Barranco Camp, passing through the unique Senecio Forest, to an altitude of 13,000 ft. Although we start and finish the day at the same elevation, spending time at higher altitudes aids in acclimatization.

DAY-4

BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP

Program of the Day Today's journey begins with a descent into a deep ravine at the base of the imposing Great Barranco Wall. From here, you will tackle the steep, nearly 900-foot ascent—challenging but entirely non-technical. The climb is steady and rewarding, offering spectacular views from the top. Once on the ridge, the trail continues through a series of rolling hills and valleys, showcasing the rugged beauty of Kilimanjaro's alpine desert. You will then make a sharp descent into Karanga Valley, followed by a final, steeper climb to reach Karanga Camp. This shorter trekking day is intentionally designed to support acclimatization and prepare you for the higher altitudes ahead.

DAY-5

KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP

We depart from Karanga and join the Mweka Trail at the junction. We then ascend through a rocky section to reach Barafu Hut. At this point, you will have completed the Southern Circuit, offering views of the summit from various angles. We set up camp here, rest, and enjoy an early dinner to prepare for the summit day. From this location, both the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo are visible.

DAY-6

BARAFU CAMP TO UHURU PEAK – MWEKA CAMP

Hike from Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak

Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

• Elevation: 19,341 ft → 10,065 ft

• Habitat: Rainforest

Very early in the morning, around midnight, we begin our challenging ascent to the summit. This portion of the trek is both mentally and physically demanding, with extreme cold and wind. We proceed in darkness with frequent short breaks. As we near Stella Point (18,900 ft), you will witness a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak. Finally, we reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and in Africa. After summiting, we descend to Mweka Hut, stopping at Barafu for lunch. The trail is rocky and tough on the knees, so trekking poles are beneficial. Mweka Camp, located in the upper forest, may experience mist or rain in the late afternoon. We conclude the day with our final dinner on the mountain and a well-deserved rest.

DAY-7

MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA GATE – RETURN TO ARUSHA

• Distance: 10 km / 6 miles

• Hiking Time: 3–4 hours

• Habitat: Rainforest

On the final day, we descend to Mweka Gate to collect our summit certificates. The trail can be wet and muddy at lower elevations. From the gate, we continue to Mweka Village, where a vehicle will transport us back to our hotel in Arusha. We'll have an overnight stay and time to relax and recover.

DAY-8

ARUSHA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Program of the Day You will be picked up from your lodge by one of our professional tour driver-guides. After a brief introduction, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, enjoying scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, you will embark on an exciting full-day game drive, carrying lunch boxes to maximize your time in the wilderness. After an incredible day of wildlife viewing, you will be transferred to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park is world-renowned for the Great Migration, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains in search of fresh grazing guided by the rhythm of the rains. This iconic ecosystem is also one of the best places in Africa to spot resident predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. The Serengeti is home to an astonishing density of wildlife, offering unforgettable sightings within just minutes of entering the park.

DAY-9

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

Program of the Day Start your morning early and enjoy breakfast before heading out for another spectacular game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park. Take in the endless plains, abundant wildlife, and remarkable scenery as you search for resident predators and grazing herds. Later in the afternoon, you will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a scenic drive as you make your way to your lodge situated on the Ngorongoro Crater

DAY-10

GAME DRIVE AT NGORONGORO CRATER – BACK ARUSHA/ TRANSFER TO AIRPORT

After breakfast, we'll descend inside Ngorongoro Crater for game drives. Once we finish the game drives, we will transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Air Port for your departure/ back to another destination.

Ngorongoro crater is among of the world UNESCO Heritage site and one of the Natural wonders of Africa and constitutes the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world, Inside The crater you will have a great chance to explore the spectacular land scarps, relax in a new environment, spotting all big five Animals includes Pride of lions, Herds of buffalos, Elephants, Leopards and Black Rhino, Bird species like flamingo in the crater lakes and amazing natural environment inside the crater. Be ready to see many varieties wild animals here within a minute.
