Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our friendly team will warmly receive you and provide a brief orientation about your safari before taking you on a scenic drive to Arusha National Park, located just a short distance away.

ARUSHA – GAME DRIVE AT TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – KARATU

On your second day, your adventure begins early in the morning after a delicious breakfast. Your driver-guide will pick you up, equipped with a freshly prepared picnic lunch box, as you set out for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most distinctive and enchanting wildlife destinations.

Famed for its vast savannahs and towering baobab trees, Tarangire offers a truly magical safari experience. As you explore the park, you'll be captivated by its impressive elephant herds, one of the park's most iconic highlights. Tarangire is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and an exceptional range of bird species making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

The ever flowing Tarangire River draws animals year-round, providing remarkable opportunities for wildlife viewing throughout the day.

THE UNFORGETTABLE DAY IN NGORONGORO

Today, you will explore the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most extraordinary wildlife destinations on the planet and proudly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often celebrated as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", this ancient volcanic caldera is a natural sanctuary unlike any other. Its 600-meter-high walls have created a self-contained ecosystem that supports an astonishing density of wildlife.

As you descend into the crater, you'll be greeted by sweeping vistas of lush grasslands, shimmering salt lakes, acacia woodlands, and fertile wetlands. This remarkable diversity of habitats supports an incredible concentration of animals, including the iconic Big Five lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the highly endangered black rhino.

The crater attracts wildlife year-round, offering exceptional opportunities for intimate and close-range wildlife viewing. You might witness lions lounging beneath the midday sun, hippos wallowing peacefully in the lakes, or elegant flamingos painting the water's edge in shades of pink.

Today, you will explore the enchanting Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania's most diverse and visually captivating wildlife destinations. Nestled between the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering expanse of Lake Manyara, the park boasts an extraordinary blend of habitats lush groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, open grasslands, and thriving wetlands all teeming with life.

Lake Manyara is a true haven for bird enthusiasts, renowned for its spectacular flocks of pink flamingos that gather along the lakeshore, along with more than 400 recorded bird species. The park is equally famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, a unique behaviour found in only a few places in Africa. With a bit of luck, you may witness these magnificent predators lounging high in the acacia branches a sight that makes Lake Manyara truly unforgettable.
